Management Committee

The pre-school is a registered charity and as such must be run by a voluntary Management Committee to ensure any decisions are made in the best interest of the setting and that all legal requirements are adhered to. New members may join the committee at the yearly AGM, which is held in September and via meetings throughout the year. The three main roles are chairperson, secretary and treasurer. There is one sub-committee which is specifically tasked with fund raising for the pre-school.

As a committee member you need to be able to attend meetings regularly, and if a member of the sub-committee, help organise and run the fundraising events as part of a team. There are regular events the funding raising sub-committee runs each year, such as half term discos, photo sessions and a Christmas shopping trip to “Bluewater”. As well as these, we try to think of new events, such as the pampered chef, which attracts people outside the pre-school and has the potential to raise a lot of money. Joining either of the committees gives you the opportunity to make new friends with people who you will have a lot in common with.
