Management Committee Roles
The Chair
The Chair is the public face of the elected committee, representing the
Pre-School where necessary at public events and sometimes at meetings
of other organisations. They take charge at committee meetings, act as
the Pre-School supervisor's line manager and supports and authorises the
work of the treasurer, checking (at least monthly) that the money banked
corresponds with the amounts signed for on original documents. A more

Secretary
The Secretary deals with the group’s official paperwork (except
for accounts). They draw up and circulate agendas (in consultation with
chair), arranges venues for meetings and keep proper records (minutes)

Treasurer
The Treasurer prepares receipts and the payments budget for the year,
divided into manageable time-spans such as months or terms. They maintain
the bank account, manage petty cash, arrange for fee collection and pay
staff wages and volunteer expenses. They work closely with the Pre-School
financial
