Research tells us that young children do best with practitioners who are well qualified and experienced in what they do. Therefore, all staff hold relevant qualifications to Level 3 or above. Our setting is managed by an experienced manager who holds a Level 6 Early Years Professional Status and a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies.
Recruitment and selection within the Pre-School is managed by Kayleigh Simpson and Daisy Mayes, with support from the Pre-School Committee. All staff are subject to a rigorous interview and are required to provide proof of identity, qualification, 2 satisfactory references and undergo a DBS check before their employment commences. All staff who are selected to work within our setting are carefully chosen for their ability to relate to young children and their families. They are a fully committed and hard-working team who fully support our shared ethos.
Our team is committed to staff training and development, and we feel that training is a key component in maintaining a quality experience for children. Team members regularly attend a variety of non-compulsory training; such as ‘Ignite to write’, ‘Letters and Sounds’ and ‘Supporting Behaviour’ to ensure that we are supporting our children to achieve the best possible outcomes.
All Pre-School staff hold current First Aid, Food Hygiene and Safeguarding Children Certificates.
